I paid for Lifetime Pro but this device doesn't have it

Open the grown-ups area (the "For parents" link at the bottom of the home screen), go to Lifetime Pro, and tap Restore Purchases. On Android, make sure the device is signed in with the same Google account you bought with. Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase — you never pay twice.

Where do downloaded stories go?

Downloads live inside the app on that device and play with no internet at all. Manage them under Downloads in the grown-ups area, where you can also see how much space they're using and remove any of them. A story you've downloaded keeps working even if it later leaves the catalogue.

A story we liked has disappeared

The catalogue changes a little each month. Occasionally a recording is replaced by a better reading of the same tale, or retired. If something you relied on has gone, email us — we can often tell you what replaced it.

Can I limit stories to my child's age?

Yes. In the grown-ups area, Story filter lets you show only "5 & under" or only "6–8". Every story in storyFT is chosen to be gentle enough for the youngest listeners; the older band simply means the writing is a little more advanced.

The sleep timer didn't stop the story

Check which option is selected by tapping the moon on the player. "End of story" lets the current story finish rather than cutting it off, which is the default. The 15- and 30-minute options fade the audio out as they run down. You can change what each fresh launch starts on under Sleep timer default.

Does storyFT need an internet connection?

To browse and stream, yes — the stories are served from the Internet Archive. Downloaded stories need no connection at all, which is what Lifetime Pro is for. If the connection drops mid-story the app waits quietly and picks up again when it can.

How do I delete everything storyFT has stored?

Delete the app. Everything it keeps — resume positions, settings and downloads — lives in the app's own storage on your device and goes with it. There is nothing stored about you on our side to delete; see the Privacy Policy.
